Chasing dreams with a revolver

Ink spattered fingers on the trigger

Mumbling desperation seeking release

All hopes pinned butterflies

On the flight of a single pretty bullet.

Powder burns staining a perfect white page

Along with red, bright blood

Grit and slick beneath the pen

Scribbling frantically line by line rosary

Praying desperately jost for the silence.

Murder leaves an aftertaste of pain and sex

Thick honey flowing in every vien

The moment after so peaceful

Looking down at the words that draw your own corpse

With a smoking gun spent in your hand.
